We met a married couple with a child who sought an investment property and wanted to take an active part in the adventure. That’s just how it is sometimes: the customer gives us a blank cheque and says, “Call me when you’re done renovating and designing.” In some cases, the client wants to be involved every step of the way. Over the years, we have found that each voice has a place in the process. The customers came to town for a few days, during which we walked around the shops and met the service providers. Together, we selected furniture, tiles, and various design and practical elements. After they left, we knew exactly what their vision was and what we had to do to achieve it.
